JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for delivering comprehensive, hands-on training in cosmetology. This role involves providing engaging classroom and salon instruction, overseeing the program's alignment with industry standards, and contributing to curriculum development. Maintain accurate student records, support student success, and foster an inclusive, culturally competent learning environment.
SPECIFIC
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructional Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures, laboratory, and clinical instruction that meets curriculum objectives.
- Oversee salon activities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and retention; submit grades promptly and accurately.
- Provide educational support during office hours or by appointment, adapting to diverse learning needs.
- Integrate industry-recognized credentials into the cosmetology program.
- Participate in ongoing program and curriculum development, ensuring relevancy to industry trends.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities and contribute to accreditation requirements.
- Assist in the integration of educational technology to enhance instructional methods.
