JOB SUMMARY:
Provides instruction and supervision for Radiography students across classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning environments. Serves as a professional role model and as a liaison with health care agencies. Coordinates and supports clinical education experiences, delivers course content, and evaluates student progress and performance. Participates in faculty meetings for organizing and providing educational experiences leading to student credentialing and gainful employment in radiology positions.
Contributes to student recruitment and retention efforts. Faculty may be assigned to teach at any Indian River State College campus based on program and departmental needs
SPECIFIC
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
* Collaborating with faculty and staff to support the college in program development, scheduling, marketing, and delivery of instruction;
* Supervising and mentoring radiography program adjunct faculty;
* Coordinating clinical experiences with area health care agencies;
* Effectively instructing courses in radiography theory, laboratory, and clinical skills related to the curriculum;
* Assisting with the compilation of all documents and completing other requirements of the Radiologic Technology Department, related to college, state, and national accrediting agencies;
* Evaluating student progress through examinations and observations of performance;
* Actively supporting student success through individual counseling and advising;
* Supporting students' professional development through appropriate organizations;
* Participating in department, division, and general faculty meetings, applicable college committee activities, and other forms of college service;
* Maintaining an active program of professional development related to individual, professional, and institutional needs;
