JOB SUMMARY:
Under administrative guidelines, this position provides strategic support to the School of Public Service Education and works in close collaboration with the Executive Dean. Core responsibilities include promoting academic quality, driving student success, and ensuring program excellence. The role encompasses curriculum review, faculty coordination, academic record management, budget oversight, and resolution of student concerns.
SPECIFIC
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Academic Leadership and Program Oversight
* Supervise all instructional activities to ensure academic integrity and student learning outcomes.
* Manage program compliance with internal policies, State regulations, and accrediting bodies.
* Oversee curriculum maintenance and submissions to the Curriculum Committee.
* Assist faculty in developing, assessing, and evaluating program and student learning outcomes.
Faculty and Staff Management
* Hire, supervise, and evaluate full-time and part-time faculty and staff.
* Provide constructive feedback and professional development support.
* Coordinate faculty assignments and address instructional absences as needed.
Scheduling and Enrollment Management
* Develop divisional course schedules and make faculty assignments in coordination with administrative leadership.
* Manage enrollment, retention, completion, and transfer/job placement outcomes.
* Use data analytics to promote student retention and completion.
Budgeting and Resource Management
* Manage the unit budget and provide input into budget planning.
* Oversee procurement and maintenance of facilities and instructional equipment.
* Prepare budget-related reports and ensure fiscal compliance.
Student Support and Issue Resolution
* Address student concerns promptly and effectively.
* Promote student success through participation in college- and community-events and initiatives.
