The work you will do:

Maintenance mechanic/district 4/district maintenance/fort pierce maintenance-administration/ft. Pierce maintenance-field crew

This position will assist the facilities team with the operation and routine maintenance activities associated with building management at the operations center. In addition, this position will assist field maintenance activities including handrail repair, concrete placement, and highway lighting repair.

Annual salary range:

$40,756.17 - $52,743.28

Your specific responsibilities:

Assists with performing routine maintenance and repairs on all types of electrical services, including highway lighting, buildings, rest area facilities, sewage treatment plants, et cetera. Operates utility van and bucket truck in performance of these duties.

Assists the plumber making repairs and installation of pipes, commodes, urinals, faucets and all other plumbing hardware in all departmental facilities.

Assists with performing a variety of block, brick, concrete and carpentry repairs and constructs new buildings as required.

Performs minimal repairs to heating and air conditioning equipment

Estimates quantities and provides the required purchasing documents for material and equipment.

Perform minor operational maintenance and ensures that the proper periodic preventative maintenance schedule is performed in a timely manner and that equipment is kept in good working order by coordinating with the local automotive shop.

The successful candidate will have the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge of:

Skills in:

* to read blueprints and schematic drawings

* to estimate quantities and provide required purchasing documents for materials
