The Repair Technician is responsible for repairing any issues on fiberglass hulls, decks and small parts in compliance with takt times. A variety of tasks are performed to repair each boat, requiring the use of both power and non-power hand tools.
Responsibilities/Duties:
* Ability to use high-speed pneumatic/battery powered tools (buffers, power sander, etc.) and hand tools safely and effectively.
* Spray and repair nonskid gel coat.
* Sand and buff problem area to make a smooth, shiny surface.
* Paint over thin or damaged areas of gel coat to create flawless surface being sure to match new finish to existing gel coat.
* Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE and following safety policy and hazardous material guidelines.
* Must practice good housekeeping by keeping work areas clean at all times.
* Other duties as assigned.
