Junior Loan Officer

A community-oriented financial institution is looking for a Loan Officer trainee to join our team. This role is built for individuals who have worked in a bank at some level—previous industry experience or internships in high school or college are required. You should be prepared to participate in extensive training and thrive in a positive, team‑oriented environment that values community service and professional growth.
Responsibilities- Identify and refer a wide range of commercial banking services by following a proactive sales and business development plan.
- Develop new loans and manage the existing loan portfolio.
- Maintain an ongoing business development program to assist existing customers and solicit new customers for the bank.
- Monitor loan portfolio & loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect from past‑due accounts.
- Build a book of business specializing in commercial loans.

- Full exposure to all aspects of banking and a diverse daily workload that keeps you engaged.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Agriculture Business, Marketing, or Finance preferred.
- A banking internship or 1–2 years of banking experience minimum.
- Strong business development and credit risk assessment skills.
- People leadership experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of bank regulations regarding lending and debt collection.
- Background in a community bank or commercial loan credit union and active involvement in local communities.
