SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of specialty areas related to AFMC’s contractually driven projects. Serve as the vehicle compliance subject matter expert on assigned project/contract, primarily involving Medicaid Non-Emergency Transportation (NET), affiliated compliance, and contract deliverables. Provide communication, education, and promotion of program services. Collaborate with internal and external customers and other professionals to meet contract deliverables within designated time frames.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of specialty areas Medicaid NET program, pertinent organizations, and health care environment. Knowledge should include information regarding contracts, contract deliverables, policies and procedures, resources available, current research and reports, trends, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with Medicaid NET Brokers and subcontractors. Develop and maintain working relationships as necessary to meet contract deliverables of specialty area projects.
  • Travel throughout the state to complete on-site vehicle inspections, announced and unannounced, and provide complete documentation as per policies and procedures.
  • Understand and utilize project-tracking database to document and monitor services/activities provided and to compile a comprehensive database of activity. Maintain accurate statistical data to meet contractual and other reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and recommendations for the resolution of NET Broker and subcontractor non-compliant vehicles including research, referral, policy review, revision and development, documentation and follow up in accordance with established policy/procedures.
  • Coordinate the timely collection and data entry of all required documentation.
  • Monitor specific items within the area of focus, provide recommendations/ feedback to external customers for quality improvement, and follow through for compliance of recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge in all other areas of Beneficiary Outreach to assist as needed with the overall operation of the department.
  • Adhere to format, content, and style guidelines, considering usability and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Communicate needs and requests to other team members as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with AFMC policy, contractual obligations, state and federal laws and regulations, and compliance documentation.
  • Follow AFMC, state, and federal protocols regarding data confidentiality/security and HIPAA compliance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
