Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs in compliance with OSHA and federal, state, and local regulations
- Conduct new hire safety orientations, training sessions, and ongoing safety education
- Participate in project planning to ensure safety is integrated into all work activities
- Review Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and ensure hazards are addressed prior to work
- Perform regular job site safety inspections and enforce safe work practices
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; recommend corrective actions
- Complete accident reports and coordinate with Workers' Compensation insurance providers
- Manage post-incident procedures, including drug testing and documentation
- Maintain safety records, SDS documentation, and first aid logs
- Lead job site safety orientations for employees and subcontractors
- Issue and track safety equipment and ensure proper usage
- Conduct CPR, OSHA, and other required safety training sessions
- Monitor workforce compliance with safety policies and standards
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (required)
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Experience with:
- Fall Protection
- Confined Spaces
- Trenching & Excavation
- Scaffolding Safety
- Powered Industrial Trucks
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining a zero-incident safety culture
- Ability to train and influence teams on safe work practices
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
