Job Duties:

PN faculty and staff accept, first and foremost, the responsibility of maintaining high standards of quality nursing education. PN faculty and staff are members of the University faculty at large, with all the rights, freedoms, privileges, and responsibilities of every other faculty member. PN faculty and staff are responsible for adhering to regulations in the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Employee Handbook as well as those in the WATC Nursing Faculty Handbook.

The Simulation Lab Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, management, and strategic development of the nursing simulation lab. This role supports faculty and students in utilizing simulation and clinical skills lab resources effectively to enhance experiential learning and clinical competence. The coordinator ensures high-fidelity simulation scenarios, lab safety, equipment maintenance, and integration of simulation-based learning into the nursing curriculum.

The Simulation Lab Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director of Allied Health and WATC-Health.

Work Experience:

Minimum qualifications include:

* Holds a current license as a registered nurse in the State of Arkansas.

* Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing.

* Have experience in clinical nursing practice.

Preferred qualifications include:

* Certification in simulation education or willingness to obtain within 12-18 months.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Simulation & Skills Lab Management:

* Plan, coordinate, and facilitate simulation-based learning experiences for nursing students.

* Operate and troubleshoot simulation equipment, including high- and low-fidelity manikins, task trainers, and audiovisual systems.

* Prepare simulation scenarios in collaboration with nursing faculty to align with course objectives.
