Adjunct Faculty – History, Social Sciences, and Philosophy

Adjunct/Part‑Time Faculty;
Fixed Term Appointment (Less than Annual)

Teach in one of the following subject areas as assigned:
Anthropology, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Religion, Sociology.

• Master’s degree in the discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the subject area; for courses leading to a master’s, a Doctorate degree is required.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.

• Current knowledge of the relevant discipline.
• Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries.
• Ability to respond to the needs of learners from a variety of educational backgrounds in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to deliver course outcomes and content through a variety of teaching/learning styles.
• Ability to use technology effectively in teaching.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues.

• Classroom and online instruction.
• Assess and evaluate student learning.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and providing leadership to subordinates.
• Consistently attend on time.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Work with a dynamic team of faculty, staff, and students in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
• Possibly interact with vendors, personnel from other agencies and institutions, and the general public.
• This is a pool position. Applicants will be contacted as positions become available.
