Summary ofJob Duties
Teach in one of the following subject areas as assigned:
Computer Science concepts, Programming, Cybersecurity, Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, Web/Cloud Development.
This is a pool position. Applicants will be contacted as positions become available. The position reports to the department head/program director/dean who assigns responsibilities regarding student needs and course outcomes.
QualificationsRequired Education and/or
Work Experience:
Instructors teaching lower and/or upper-level courses for associate or bachelor’s degrees must hold a master’s degree in the discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the subject area. Courses leading to a master’s require a doctorate degree. Adjunct faculty with a clinical assignment must be prepared at the level required by accreditation. Instructors in occupational and technical areas are generally required to hold a minimum of an associate’s degree and related work experience.
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.

Prior teaching experience.

- Assess and evaluate student learning
- Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates.
- Requires consistent on-time attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Current knowledge of the relevant discipline.
- Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries.
- Ability to respond to needs of learners from a variety of educational backgrounds in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to deliver course outcomes and content through a variety of teaching/learning styles.
- Ability to use technology effectively in teaching.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues.
Criminal Background Check and Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR) Check. May also include a drug screen, child maltreatment check, and proof of immunizations depending upon area of study.
Salary InformationDependent upon department.
