Summary ofJob Duties
- Teach in assigned subject areas:
Accounting, Banking, Business Analytics, Business Ethics, Business Law, Corporate Finance, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Management, Information Systems, Investments, Logistics, Management, Marketing, Personal Finance, Project Management, Sales, and/or Supply Chain Management. - This is a pool position. Applicants will be contacted as positions become available.
- The position reports to the department head who assigns responsibilities regarding student needs and course outcomes.
- Current knowledge of the relevant discipline.
- Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries.
- Ability to respond to needs of learners from a variety of educational backgrounds in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to deliver course outcomes and content through a variety of teaching/learning styles.
- Ability to use technology effectively in teaching.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues.
- Classroom and online instruction.
- Assess and evaluate student learning.
- Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters teamwork and providing leadership to subordinates.
- Requires consistent on-time attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/or Work Experience
:
Master’s degree in the discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the subject area. Other job‑related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience
:
Prior teaching experience.
Working Relationships
:
Work with a dynamic team of faculty, staff, and students in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. May have contact with vendors, personnel from other agencies and institutions, and the general public.
Special Job Dimensions
:
Work performed primarily in an office setting. The employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into a computer. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. The employee regularly talks and hears. The employee occasionally lifts items up to 50 pounds.
Routine work schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional overtime and travel required.
Criminal Background Check and Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR) Check.
Salary InformationDependent upon department.
