Terms Of Employment:
Hourly, 4 per week (e.g. 1 hour 4 days a week or 2 hours 2 days a week). May meet at a neutral location, i.e. public library, or virtually...to be agreed upon by teacher, parents and student.

Qualifications:

Must be an Arkansas Certified teacher.

Essential Job Functions:

• Confer with the classroom teacher on a regular basis in coordinating the instructional programs, assignments and materials utilized and/or needed by each student.
• Establish and maintain communication with campus teachers, parents, students and Homebound/Hospital Program staff
• Teach mastery of skills in content area with the goal of returning the student to school.
• Meet and instruct assigned students in the location and at the time designated
• Implement appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment as assigned by the director.
• Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
• Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.

Job Functions:

• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting, and kneeling.

Hourly Rate $25.00 per hour
