Job Duties
Summary:
Teach in one of the following subject areas as assigned:
Anatomy (Lecture and Laboratory);
Physiology (Lecture). This is a pool position. Applicants will be contacted as positions become available. The position reports to the department head/program director/dean who assigns responsibilities regarding student needs and course outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Required Education and/or
Work Experience:
Master’s degree in discipline or related field with minimum 18 graduate credits in subject area for lower/upper-level courses. Doctorate required for master’s level courses. Adjunct faculty with clinical assignment must be at required accreditation level. Occupational and technical area instructors typically require at least an associate’s degree and related work experience. Other job-related education/experience may substitute. - Preferred Education and/or
Work Experience:
Prior teaching experience. - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Current knowledge of the relevant discipline; good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries; ability to respond to needs of learners from a variety of educational backgrounds in a multicultural environment; ability to deliver course outcomes and content through a variety of teaching/learning styles; ability to use technology effectively in teaching; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues.

- Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates

- Working Relationships:
Work with dynamic team of faculty, staff, and students in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. May possibly have contact with vendors, personnel from other agencies and institutions, and the general public. - Special Job Dimensions:
Work performed primarily in an office setting. Employee regularly uses computer data entry. Frequently sits for extended periods, occasionally stands and walks. Vision demands close detail when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 50 pounds. Routine work schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional overtime and travel required. - Background Check Requirements:
Criminal Background Check and Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR) Check. May also include drug screen, child maltreatment check, and proof of immunizations depending on area of study.
