The South Slave Divisional Education Council is seeking a committed elementary educator (Grade
4) for Joseph Burr Tyrell Elementary School.
- Implement the Division's three key priorities: literacy, numeracy, and social responsibility in the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community stakeholders to enhance student learning.
- Eligible for NWT teacher certification.
- Positive, collaborative approach to teaching.
- Ability to work within a northern school environment.
Salary ranges from $91,000 to $147,000 per year based on qualifications. Additional benefits include a Northern Allowance (~$7,000 annually), relocation expenses, and an administrative stipend.
Term & Start DateTerm: 1.0 FTE for the 2026/27 school year.

August 21, 2026.
