Job Duties
Teach in assigned subject areas:
Computer Science concepts, Programming, Cybersecurity, Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, Web/Cloud Development.
This is a pool position; applicants will be contacted as positions become available. The position reports to the department head, program director, or dean.
Qualifications- Required:
Master’s degree in the discipline or related field with at least 18 graduate credits in the subject area; doctorate for master’s level courses; minimum associate’s degree and related work experience for occupational and technical areas. - Preferred:
Prior teaching experience.
- Classroom and online instruction.
- Assess and evaluate student learning.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere, foster teamwork, and provide leadership to subordinates.
- Consistent on‑time attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Current knowledge of the relevant discipline.
- Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries.
- Ability to respond to needs of learners from a variety of educational backgrounds in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to deliver course outcomes and content through a variety of teaching/learning styles.
- Ability to use technology effectively in teaching.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues.
Work with a dynamic team of faculty, staff, and students in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. May have contact with vendors, personnel from other agencies and institutions, and the general public.
Special Job DimensionsWork performed primarily in an office setting. Requires digital dexterity; frequent computer use; sits for extended periods; occasionally stands, walks, lifts up to 50 lb. Routine work schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional overtime and travel.
Background Check RequirementsCriminal background check and Motor Vehicle Registry check; may include drug screen, child maltreatment check, and proof of immunizations.
Salary InformationDependent upon department.
