Summary ofJob Duties
Teach in one of the following subject areas as assigned:
Anatomy (Lecture and Laboratory);
Physiology (Lecture).
This is a pool position. Applicants will be contacted as positions become available. The position reports to the department head/program director/dean who assigns responsibilities regarding student needs and course outcomes.
QualificationsRequired Education and/or
Work Experience:
A master’s degree in the discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the subject area for associate or bachelor’s level courses. Courses leading to a master’s require a doctorate degree. Adjunct faculty with a clinical assignment must be prepared at the level required by accreditation. Instructors in occupational and technical areas are generally required to have a minimum of an associate’s degree and related work experience.
Other job‑related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.
Preferred Education and/or
Work Experience:
Prior teaching experience.
- Current knowledge of the relevant discipline.
- Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries.
- Ability to respond to needs of learners from a variety of educational backgrounds in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to deliver course outcomes and content through a variety of teaching/learning styles.
- Ability to use technology effectively in teaching.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues.
- Classroom and online instruction.
- Assess and evaluate student learning.
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters teamwork and leads by example.
- Consistent on‑time attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Relationships: Work with a dynamic team of faculty, staff, and students in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. May possibly have contact with vendors, personnel from other agencies and institutions, and the general public.
Background Check Requirements: Criminal Background Check and Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR) Check. May also include a drug screen, child maltreatment check, and proof of immunizations depending upon area of study.
Salary Information: Dependent upon department.
