Substitute Teacher

Chance Light Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a dedicated Substitute Teacher to support students in our Education, Training & E-Learning programs. You will deliver lesson plans, manage classrooms, and provide individualized support to ensure continuity of learning when primary teachers are absent. Working within a collaborative, nurturing culture, you'll implement research-based instructional and behavioral strategies, document student progress, and maintain a safe, positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared lesson plans and instructional activities in the teacher's absence
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Implement research-based instructional and behavioral strategies
• Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Follow IEPs and behavior intervention plans as directed
• Manage classroom behavior using positive supports and clear expectations
• Communicate effectively with staff and administrators about student progress and needs
• Accurately complete required documentation and reports
• Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, and subject areas
• Participate in required training and professional development
