Water​/Wastewater Engineer

Role Overview

HDR Engineering seeks a Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Arkansas team. The engineer will plan, direct, and monitor technical aspects of mid‑size pump station and pipeline design projects that involve a high degree of technical complexity.

• Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
• Involved with client relationships with specific focus on relaying HDR’s water and wastewater credentials
• Function as technical specialist or project manager on mid‑size projects as needed
• Coordinate staffing and workload of staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
• Supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
• Implement QA/QC procedures and execute training for personnel as established
• Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
• Perform other duties as needed

• MS
• Minimum of 3 years experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
• Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng))
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
