Position Overview The Financial Planning Coordinator supports the advisory team by preparing financial plans, managing client data, and ensuring a smooth, high-quality client experience. This role is ideal for someone detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to grow within the financial planning profession.
Key Responsibilities- Assist advisors in preparing for client meetings, including gathering documents, updating financial plan components, and creating meeting materials.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients to provide updates, answer routine questions, and ensure timely follow‑through on outstanding items.
- Maintain a warm, professional rapport with clients to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Financial Planning & Data Management
- Collect and organize financial data such as statements, tax returns, insurance policies, and retirement plan information.
- Input and maintain accurate client information within financial planning software and CRM systems.
- Support the development of comprehensive financial plans, including cash flow analysis, retirement projections, insurance reviews, and investment summaries.
- Assist with preparation and processing of account-opening paperwork, transfers, and service requests.
- Operational Support
- Coordinate with custodians, recordkeepers, and internal teams to ensure smooth account operations.
- Track follow-up items, deadlines, and next steps to keep advisory workflows on schedule.
- Help improve processes, templates, and client service standards for greater efficiency.
- Required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and a client‑focused mindset.
- Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in a financial services or advisory firm.
- Familiarity with financial planning software:
Money Guide, CRM systems, and/or custodial platforms.
