The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for an Aviation Resource Management Technician (GS-0303-07) to join the team at the 33rd Fighter Wing, Ebbing Field Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Arkansas! In this role, you would perform unit flight services, schedule unit airspace, manage flying hour execution program and training data pertaining to all Rated/Non-Rated Officers, Career Enlisted Aviators, and Parachutists.

Qualifications
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • This is a drug testing position. The employee is subject to random drug testing.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Experience in the Aviation Resource Management field and Aviation Resource Management System is highly desirable.
  • May be required to work other than normal duty hours and tours of duty such as rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, call back, uncommon tours of duty, holidays, etc. Employee may be required to carry a cell phone.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Flight Services, obtaining flight clearances, and validating required Flight Crew Information File (FCIF) and other Go/No-Go pre-flight data.
  • Conducts preflight pilot briefings and pre/post flying operation duties to military and civilian aircrews/parachutists, including foreign pilots on FAA Flight Plans IAW USAF, FAA, and DoD directives.
  • Provides technical guidance and expertise in the scheduling of the flying unit Special Use Airspace (SUA). Manages various integration management systems, reconciles Form 781 information with maintenance debrief, and generates key reports to unit leadership for the unit's O&M/FMS Flying Hour Execution Program.
  • Monitors substantiating personnel listings, independently determines the status of incoming/outgoing Personnel in Change of Station (PCS), Separation/Retirement, Student status, and Temporary Duty (TDY) status, and performs a wide-range of aviation management duties.
  • Manages aviation resource programs, utilizing Ad-Hoc reports and the Centralized AF ARMS systems; monitors the resources and training requirements for mission accomplishment and safety of flight.
  • Knowledge of aviation administrative duties; scheduling, maintaining aircrew/parachutist training records, compiling reports, and monitoring the resources and training requirements for mission accomplishment and safety of flight.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use computer equipment and various administrative software programs for office administration and understand the complexities and limitations of such.
  • Skill in interpreting and explaining the law and regulations relating to all facts covering assigned area and to review records, identify errors and determine and resolve problems.
