JOB TITLE:
Registered and/or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician

REPORTS TO:
Director of Respiratory Therapy
Graduation from an approved school of Respiratory Therapy (two-year minimum program) is preferred. Must be registered or certified as a Therapist by the State of Arkansas. NBRC certification is required.
ExperienceOne-year experience in Respiratory Care is preferred. Previous supervisory experience is a plus. Candidates should have average typing skills and be comfortable working with electronic data systems.
Physical RequirementsWork typically occurs in a hospital environment. Must have normal or corrected vision and full hearing. Responsibilities include operating ventilators, ABG machines, oxygen therapy devices, CPAP, BIPAP, and nebulizers. Physical demands include lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs, pushing and pulling up to 75 lbs, with frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
JOB SUMMARYPerforms respiratory treatments such as ventilator care, arterial blood gas analysis, EKG, PFT, oxygen rounds, Holter Monitoring, and Pulmonary Function Testing. Responsible for setup and monitoring of CPAP and BIPAP devices.
