Clinical Pharmacist - Little Rock, Arkansas

This direct hire opportunity offers a Clinical Pharmacist role within a 359-bed, nationally recognized pediatric teaching hospital. Schedule and

Location:

• Full-time, 8-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Located in Little Rock, AR
• Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

• Compound and dispense medications accurately according to physician orders
• Consult with medical staff on drug interactions, patient history, and medication use
• Provide medication counseling to patients and caregivers
• Verify dosing appropriateness based on pediatric-specific factors (weight, age, diagnosis)
• Identify and intervene in drug therapy problems, including allergies and adverse reactions
• Evaluate and recommend drug therapies, including non-formulary alternatives
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and hospital pharmacy standards and documentation
• Participate in patient education, staff training, and discharge planning
• Manage medication orders and inventory, including coordination with suppliers and managers
• Support drug information requests and drug utilization review activities

Desired

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Arkansas
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• IV experience or IV Certification highly favored
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) preferred
• New graduates with strong clinical interest encouraged to apply
