POSITION TITLE: Hourly Mandarin Interpreter/Translator

FLSA: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Special Programs

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hourly Position - As needed. $17/hour for classified; $25/hour for certified.

BEGINNING: Feb/March, 2026

LOCATION: Parker Center

Fluent in speaking, reading and writing Mandarin

• Interpreting and translating in evaluations and conferences.
• Assistinupholdingandenforcingschoolrules,administrative regulations,and Board policy.
• Translate documents.
• Tomaintainaccurateandcompleterecordsasrequiredbylaw,District policy,and administrative regulations.
• Attendandparticipateinstaffmeetings.
• Maintain confidentiallity.
• Maintain acceptableattendanceandbepunctual.
• Cooperatewithothermembersofthestaffinplanningandimplementinggoals, objectives,and methods.
• Maintain a safe working condition and safely operate electronic and other equipment needed to carry out job functions and responsibilities.
• Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs and attend required meetings.
• Display ethical and professional behavior in working with students, parents, school personnel, and or outside agencies associated with the school.

• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, kneeling,occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting and kneeling.
