Student Worker, Information Center Support

Job Description

The Student Worker, Information Center is responsible for providing assistance to the Information Center team.

• Schedule upgrades to Microsoft operating systems.
• Troubleshoot failed and missing Microsoft operating system updates and security patches.
• Investigate failed 3rd party security patches and updates.
• Document and share troubleshooting methods and solutions.
• Assist in delivery and setup of computer hardware at multiple Fort Smith, AR campus locations.
• Assist with minor computer support tasks.
• Assist in the process of salvaging computer equipment including documenting salvage items and placement in a shipping container.
• Assist in the process of receiving new and used equipment, including documenting items and transporting them to storage.
• Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Education

• Currently pursuing a college degree.

Experience

• No prior experience necessary

Computer Skills

Work Hours

• This is a part-time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Compensation

• This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
