What You Will Do- Prototype & Launch Support: Lead and support prototype, pilot, and pre-production builds for new and revised products
- Design for Manufacturability: Provide DFM/DFA input during design reviews and quoting activities
- CNC Programming: Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for laser cutting, press brakes, tube benders, and robotic MIG welding cells
- CAD-to-Production Execution: Develop production-ready programs directly from 3D CAD models and 2D drawings
- Process Troubleshooting: Resolve cutting, forming, bending, and welding issues; reduce scrap and downtime using structured problem-solving methods
- APQP & Launch Readiness: Support APQP, PPAP, and launch activities including process validation and run-at-rate
- Tooling & Standardized Work: Design and improve tooling, fixtures, setup sheets, work instructions, and visual aids
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure manufacturing processes meet IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements
- Continuous Improvement: Lead or support safety, throughput, and process capability improvement initiatives
- Equipment & Automation Support: Support new equipment, automation, and robotic cell installation, debug, and optimization
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience, preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting CNC manufacturing processes in a metal stamping or fabrication environment
- Hands-on experience with multiple of the following:
- CNC laser cutting
- Press brake forming
- CNC tube bending
- Robotic MIG welding cells
- Strong CAD/CAM skills, with the ability to independently create and modify programs
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and welding symbols
- Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently on the manufacturing floor and supporting multiple production areas
- Experience in an IATF 16949 automotive or heavy truck environment
- Familiarity with OEM or Tier 1 customer-specific requirements
- Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, Inventor, Amada Dr. Abe, Robo Guide, or similar
- Experience supporting APQP, PPAP, and launch activities
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure
