Shift & Location

Location: Newlon Warehouse, Fort Smith, AR
Shift: 1st Shift – 10:00 A.M. to 6:30 P.M., Monday to Friday (Saturday as needed)

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour, with weekly attendance incentive of $1 per hour, and pay increases at 30‑ and 90‑day milestones. Additional benefits include 401(k), medical, dental, vision insurance, 6 paid holidays, vacation after 90 days, and 2 personal days per year.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Inventory – 1st Shift employee assists in verifying product that is received, stored, or shipped. Responsibilities include shipping clerical duties such as inspection, data entry, and record keeping.

Shipping Clerk Responsibilities
  • Establish delivery locations.
  • Inspect STOs and transfers to ensure they match orders.
  • Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and communicate issues with plants.
  • Compare STO orders with plant BOL lists.
  • Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
  • Update inventory with received items.
  • Enter information into computer (SAP WM).
  • Communicate with Ok Foods Procurement and vendors regarding delays or problems with STOs.
  • Maintain records of orders, delivery details, etc.

Physical Demands

Employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach, and talk/hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, or balance. Regular lifting of up to 25 lb and occasional lifting up to 75 lb. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.

Work Environment

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, vibration, wet/humid conditions, high or precarious places, and outside weather. Noise level is usually loud.
