Dept. 186 – Maintenance Planner
Shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour
Pay & Benefits- $1/hour weekly attendance incentive.

The Maintenance Planner plans and coordinates maintenance work orders, repairs, and servicing of all plant machinery and equipment. Incumbent develops planned work for the weekly work schedule and anticipates and eliminates potential delays by planning and coordinating maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Planning and coordinating all planned maintenance activities performed at the Fort Smith location. Duties include but are not limited to the following as other duties may be assigned:
- Consider safety when developing job plans, work orders, PM’s, etc.
- Create and print PM’s.
- Schedule and assign PM’s based on technician availability and equipment assignment.
- Verify/audit PM’s as required by department manager.
- Track and communicate all applicable maintenance licensing, renewals, and equipment inspections with management.
- Data entry for various uses in SAP.
- SAP reporting as required by department and management team.
- Create work orders in system.
- Estimate labor hours required for work.
- Assign work orders and enter data (parts used, etc.) upon completion.
- Review work order feedback information to improve future planning efforts.
- Analyze work order feedback and execute follow‑up actions as needed.
- Reconcile/audit maintenance parts and equipment inventory as required by department manager.
- Run reports on parts usage for equipment.
- Schedule delivery and pick‑up of rental equipment.
- Liaison between management and contractors when scheduling work in the plant or on company property.
- Seek advice from the Maintenance Manager on matters outside of knowledge or authority.
- Inform Maintenance Manager of abnormal or critical situations.
- Develop, modify, and/or maintain a downtime matrix to assist in reporting downtime problem areas with part usage that is beyond normal wear and tear.
- This is a safety‑sensitive position.
No supervisory responsibilities.
