- Perform the required duties in accordance with safety guidelines and lean principles.
- Perform daily tasks to produce hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder products, including but not limited to, assembling, testing, painting, detailing, gathering materials/components, and positioning work area.
- Utilize various hand tools, specialty tools, and basic measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks. (examples: wrenches, starting sleeves, screw drivers, clamps, assembly table, cranes and other lifting devices, and various other hand tools and equipment.)
- Perform visual inspection of parts. Reviews basic blueprints/diagrams to ensure components are being manufactured in accordance with the part specification.
- Review work orders for special instructions.
- Complete various types of paperwork related to production reporting.
- Clean equipment and work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Basic math skills required.
- Basic understanding of gauging / measuring devices required.
- Basic blueprint understanding required.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
- 2 years of previous assembly experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. The employee will regularly bend, stoop, and stretch handling parts/objects in various situations. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception.
This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
