Forklift Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Obtain production schedule and transport materials to and from designated areas.
• Move goods packed on pallets or crates around storage and production areas.
• Stack goods in the correct areas following inventory control instructions.
• Check that loads are secure.
• Stack empty pallets.
• Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging truck batteries and lubricating equipment.
• Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Dump material into machine hoppers and dispose of trash in the compactor.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in the production area.
• Practice proper safety techniques.
• Perform general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned, including assistance from maintenance when necessary.
• Follow all procedures and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
