Manufacturing ​/ Production Operator, Production QC​/QA

Job Description

Position: Operator 1 – Days Shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) at Mar Petcare, Fort Smith, AR.

• Maintain safety standards using LOTO and confined space procedures.
• Load production materials into equipment meeting quality and safety standards.
• Assist product changeovers on primary equipment.
• Communicate with the team to prevent downtime and quality issues.
• Operate equipment during breaks and lunches as needed.
• Comply with Mars Petcare Quality and Food Safety Practices, GMPs, and regulatory standards.
• Document quality attributes and provide production data for shift reports on a computer or iPad.
• Support overall quality and food safety for all associates.
• Lift and move 150‑200 40‑pound bags of ingredients per day.

• Knowledge of production processes, GMP, and other food safety and regulatory standards.
• Understanding of Start‑Up, Operation, Shut‑Down, and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to assist and troubleshoot equipment.
• Assist with quality checks and document results in a database on a computer or iPad.
• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Nexus; MSDS database;
  Near Miss Reporting;
  Adams Bradley Systems or similar displays.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to respond quickly.
• Ability to stand for long periods on hard surfaces.
• Computer or iPad literacy, able to enter, record, maintain, and retrieve data.
