1st Shift: Live Haul

Department: 326 - Scale Operator

Hours:

10:00 am - 6:00 pm


Pay Rate: $ 14.25 per hour.

Summary This job consists of weighing trucks (Live Haul, Feed Haul, In Town, etc.) in and out. Fills out paperwork. Acts as dispatcher if needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Takes phone calls.

Weighs trucks.

Fills out paperwork.

Acts as dispatcher if needed.

Handles any issues that occur in a quick and efficient manner.

Performs other tasks as requested by management.

Education and/or Experience

No prior experience or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
