$21.00 - $28.50/Based On Assessment.

Position Summary:
Operates and maintains the ammonia refrigeration system:

• Repairs and maintains spiral freezers, air units, boilers, compressors, CO2 system, air pressure, chilled water, and plant temperatures.
• Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause.
  • Listens for unusual sounds.
  • Feels for unusual vibration.
  • Communicates with users regarding what was observed or smelled.
• Dismantles inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, installs new or repaired parts and reassembles the machinery or supporting equipment.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program
• Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
• Monitors facility temperatures and makes adjustments as necessary.
• Must be able to attain and maintain required certification for the HAZMAT entry team.
• Must be able to attain and maintain a boiler license and complete document OSHA checks of internal boilers.
• Other duties as assigned.
