We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at UAMS Fort Smith Family Medical Center. This position plays a vital role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for a select group of patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Direct patient care within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas, UAMS policies, procedures, and standards.
• Accountable for adhering to UAMS care guidelines.
• Observe patients, charting, and reporting changes in patients' conditions.
• Provide basic care and treatment of patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and start intravenous fluids.
• Measure and record the patient's vital signs.
• Assist patients in standing, walking, bathing, dressing, and moving in bed.
• Supervise nurses' aides and assistants.
• Answer the patient's call and determine how to assist them.
• Collect samples such as blood, urine, and sputum from patients and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
• Clean rooms and make beds.
• Inventory and requisition supplies and instruments.
• Record food and fluid intake and output.

• Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Salary Information:
Commensurate with education and experience
