Role Overview
The Charge Nurse manages the operations of the department. They provide support, mentorship, and guidance to those who provide direct patient care. The Charge Nurse coordinates the delivery of patient care by determining staffing needs and making patient assignments, ensuring all patients receive timely, safe, effective, and high‑quality care. They coordinate the patient’s plan of care with the bedside nurse, set expectations regarding professional conduct, and serve as a resource for the unit.
The Charge Nurse holds direct and indirect care providers accountable for their professional responsibilities and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Sign‑on bonus available: $10,000 for full‑time RNs with at least 1 year of experience (no contract).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN license in the hiring state or compact state required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) required within 30 days of hire.
