Overview
Mercy Fort Smith has undergone a $162 million expansion of its ER and ICU. The ER expanded from 29 to 50 rooms, and the ICU from 38 to 64 rooms. This expansion enables approximately 25,000 additional patient visits per year and supports a world-class environment.
PositionSeeking experienced RN(s).

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and meet all state board requirements.
Experience: 1 year ER experience preferred
Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion within 30 days of hire.

- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
3:1 ratios on high acuity; with 4:1 as needed.
TransfersThe only cases that are transferred out are complex ortho, major burns, and certain neurosurgery. Everything else stays in house.
Physical Requirements- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
