Mercy Fort Smith’s Med Surg Service Line is made up of 8 specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs. Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions. While you will have a “home unit”, we cross‑train our nurses between the various specialties to provide a strong foundational knowledge of all types of patient conditions, comorbidities, procedures, etc.

• Sign on bonus available: $10,000 for full‑time RNs
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• No contract

• Education:
  
  Graduated from a nursing school (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure:
  Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications:
  
  Must have an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within the probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
