Registered Nurse - Med Tele

Find your calling at Mercy! Our Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Dedicated Education Unit is an 18-bed unit focused on teaching eager and upcoming graduate nurses the fundamental skills necessary to be successful.

This unit will care for Medical Telemetry patients with a 4:1 patient to nurse ratio (day shift only). Each nurse will act as a preceptor to two senior level nursing students who will take total care of the 4 patients. A clinical rotation preceptor will also be available for support/oversight of the students.

• Act as a preceptor to two senior level nursing students.
• Supervise the care of 4 patients on the unit.
• Collaborate with a clinical rotation preceptor to support and oversee students.
• Provide teaching and feedback to nursing students to enhance their clinical skills.

• Education:
  
  Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure:
  Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications:
  • Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within the probationary period.
  • Must have ACLS and BLS, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
