this position is responsible for investigating reports of adult maltreatment involving adults 18 and older, in accordance with arkansas code annotated 12-12-1701 et. Seq. The role provides assistance to adults with obtaining supportive services, takes endangered adults into protective custody, and requires extensive interaction with law enforcement, prosecuting attorneys, and state and federal agencies. State‑mandated service deadlines coupled with heavy caseloads and the life‑and‑death nature of the work create a stressful environment.
Frequent twenty‑four‑hour on‑call duty for response to assist in emergency situations.
without approved documentation of level of care assessments and plan of care evaluation, services cannot continue. Many of the individuals would be forced into a nursing home which does not support the long‑term care rebalancing initiatives for the department of human services.

in‑state and occasional overnight travel required. Must be able to drive a car, travel by foot to various locations, climb stairs, read/follow map directions. Independently travel to locations including but not limited to: client residences, hospitals, nursing homes, rehab facilities, dhs offices, and provider agencies.
verification of licensure is completed through the arkansas state board of nursing online search registry. Disciplinary action(s) will be reviewed and considered when selecting applicant for hire.
computer skills including but not limited to microsoft word, outlook, and excel. One to two years verifiable rn work experience with in‑home services programs or programs providing services to aged or disabled individuals. Strong organizational and time management skills preferred.
