Summary ofJob Duties
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Charge Nurse at our Fort Smith Family Medical Center. As the Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the highest quality Patient and Family-Centered Care within the clinic. You will oversee the nursing and clinical team, manage patient flow processes, and promote wellness, improved outcomes, and self‑care among a defined patient population.
Additionally, you will play a crucial role in providing support, education, and assistance to patients who have chronic conditions, helping them prevent and maintain their health. As the Charge Nurse the individual will work with the CSM in the daily operations and supervision of the clinic and staff.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associate’s Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor’s in Nursing, or Master’s in Nursing
- Valid RN License
- Minimum of one (1) year Registered Nursing experience; will consider RN with two (2) years of LPN clinical experience
- Charge RN or Leadership experience
- Clinic or Ambulatory Setting experience
- Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality care, and apply policies
- Good communication skills (written and oral)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Problem‑solving skills
- Leadership and collaborative skills
- Strong patient advocacy and patient education skills
- Strong organizational skills and computer knowledge
- Professional and courteous telephone etiquette
- General knowledge of office machines, including printers, fax machines, and scanners
- Understanding basic medical terminology
