The Mercy GIG Nursing Program gives you the freedom to pick up shifts that fit your schedule while providing high-quality patient care across our facilities.
Participation in the GIG Nursing Program requires nurses to self-schedule a minimum number of hours, maintain flexibility for short-notice staffing needs, and accept the possibility of last-minute shift cancellations. GIG positions do not guarantee hours and are the first positions subject to cancellation.

Medical-Surgical
Required Education
Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
Preferred EducationBSN
LicensureMust maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact state licensure and meet all applicable state board of nursing requirements.
ExperienceMinimum one (1) year of recent bedside RN experience in Medical-Surgical nursing within the last 3 years.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Epic EMR experience
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly
Prolonged standing and walking during shifts
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat while performing patient care duties
