Role Description The RN/LPN will provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing treatments, monitoring vital signs, and documenting clinical information in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards. This role involves assessing resident health status, responding to changes in condition, and collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other team members to implement individualized care plans. The RN/LPN will support daily activities of residents, provide education to residents and families, and promote a safe, respectful environment.

Responsibilities also include supervising and guiding nursing assistants, maintaining infection control practices, and participating in care conferences and shift reports. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Covington Court Health & Rehab in Fort Smith, AR.Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Arkansas RN or LPN license, in good standing with the state board of nursing.
  • Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care settings preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, including ability to recognize changes in resident condition and respond promptly.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records, medication administration, and documentation of nursing care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and supervise nursing assistants effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to resident-centered care, safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective communication, time management, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities on a busy unit.
  • Capacity to perform the physical aspects of nursing, including lifting, repositioning, and assisting residents as needed.
  • CPR certification and other required clinical certifications, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional nursing education and relevant continuing education strongly valued.
