Position is based at 5000 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith, AR 7290. However, frequent travel within the Fort Smith and Little Rock areas, as well as across the Arvest four-state footprint, is required.
Incumbent must be able to participate in an on‑call rotation schedule and respond on a 24/7 basis.

Job Title:Enterprise Physical Security Specialist 1
With guidance and oversight, the Enterprise Physical Security Specialist 1 ensures the highest physical security standards are maintained across assigned locations. This involves monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, managing access control, conducting audits, and collaborating with branch teams to implement effective security practices. This role is the first point of contact for responding to security incidents and escalating them to senior security team members or their direct manager.
WhatYou’ll Do at Arvest:
- Provide for the physical protection and security of personnel, property and assets through proactive measures and effective incident response to ensure compliance with Arvest Bank policies and procedures.
- Issue and maintain accurate records of associate physical security credentials for new hires, transfers, terminations, and lost or compromised credentials.
- Assist senior team members in addressing security incidents and concerns and maintaining a safe working environment for associates and customers. Collaborate with management, HR, law enforcement and third‑party consultants as needed, escalating issues when necessary. Deliver periodic security awareness training to promote a culture of security consciousness among employees.
- Respond to and manage security incidents, including identifying and diffusing disruptive behavior and escalating to management and/or law enforcement. Have the ability to use negotiation and persuasion skills to maintain control until a senior team member and/or law enforcement arrives and intervenes.
- Develop relationships with local law enforcement and the regional security team to ensure effective collaboration.
- Collaborate with third‑party security vendors and contractors, ensuring service level agreements are met and performance is optimized. Escalate technical issues and leverage senior team members' expertise to enhance troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in security technologies.
- Maintains an understanding of Arvest’s security program, policies, standards, and procedures. Monitor security trends and emerging technologies to proactively mitigate potential risks and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of security measures. Through continuous learning activities, maintain knowledge of physical security best practices, compliance, and emerging trends.
- Collaborate with other Enterprise Physical Security team members by providing feedback and details from site visits related to third‑party vendors, and bank equipment installations. Report on new construction, remodels, or ATM‑related projects ensuring all equipment is installed to standards and is operational and that local facility staff has been trained. Assist in the tracking and managing of physical security assets.
- Routinely perform facility security checks to identify threats and vulnerabilities, including outside perimeter checks and ensuring all exterior lights work properly and all security devices are in proper working order.
