The Challenge

It takes more than steel, advanced electronics and engine thrust to make the F‑35 Lightning II, the world’s fifth‑generation fighter, take flight. The Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) gives F‑35 Lightning II operators the ability to plan ahead, maintain, and sustain its systems over the life of the air vehicle. ALIS provides the IT backbone and capabilities to support current and future warfighters across the U.S. and allied military services.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access.
  • Provide operational support to active fighter units; be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments and to work extended periods as required.
  • Work various shift hours, including weekends, to support customer mission requirements.
  • Complete a pre‑employment medical exam designed to ensure capability to deploy with our military customer, including austere environments with limited access to medical care.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for our customer.
A Day in the Life
  • Monitor and review security audit logs.
  • Perform standalone and ancillary system auditing and audit archiving.
  • Inventory hardware control.
  • Conduct general IA security monitoring.
  • Maintain security documentation.
  • Monitor system security configuration.
  • Perform system administration, database, and networking duties as required.

Play a key role in training and mentoring junior Security Administrators on system security operations, processes, and procedures.

Basic Qualifications
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance with investigation within last 6 years.
  • DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA).
  • Experience in security patching and its effects on the system.
  • Experience with security controls, incidents, or vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with auditing of Windows Information Systems.
  • Familiarity with log‑aggregating tools such as Splunk.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in Information Security or System Administration.
  • Previous Security Administrator/Auditor experience in the F‑35 Program.
  • Advanced knowledge of auditing tools such as Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Trellix maintenance.
  • Experience providing security support in a SAP environment.
Security Clearance Statement

This position requires a government security clearance; US citizenship is required for consideration. Clearance level:
Secret with investigation or CV date within 5 years.

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Standard is a 40‑hour work week Monday to Friday. Condensed schedules provide additional time away from the office and are in addition to paid time off benefits.
