Job Description:

The F-35 Aircraft Mechanic is part of the Aircraft Maintenance Team responsible for keeping the F‑35 fleet flight‑ready and safe. This position is located in Fort Smith, AR. The role is On-Site at the location detailed in the job post. The organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for open roles and this position is available to Veterans, transitioning military personnel, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers.

• Conduct launch and recovery operations and full‑spectrum maintenance to keep the F‑35 fleet operationally ready.
• Perform inspections, servicing, and repairs of aircraft systems in strict compliance with directives.
• Execute field‑level modifications and manage Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) maintenance requirements.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to new team members, contractors, and international partners.
• Maintain accurate aircraft records in ALIS and communicate status to the production team.

Must be a U.S. Citizen — This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. The position may require working first, second, or third shifts, and may include certain health screenings and immunizations. The role may require extended work hours. Candidate must be able to acquire and keep a flight line driver’s competency card.

This position may include health screenings and immunizations. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry may apply.

• Requires minimum of 2 years hands-on working experience with USAF, Navy, United States Marine Corps, or equivalent Aircraft maintenance or A&P certification.
• Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
• Must be able to obtain and keep a secret clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance to start.
• Ability to travel, including short notice and overseas.
• The position will require working first, second, or third shift(s) and may include extended work hours.
• Valid Driver’s License required. Must be able to acquire and keep a flight line driver’s competency card.
