Live Haul Driver - 2nd Shift - Fort Smith, AR
Transports chickens from broiler farms to the plants by performing the following duties. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Drives a truck to transport chickens from the broiler farms to the plants.
- Picks up chickens at the farms.
- Delivers chickens to live haul.
- Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
- Binds and unbinds cages.
- Must comply with all D.O.T. and State driver training and documentation requirements.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of verifiable driving experience, clean driving record and PSP Report.
- This position requires a Tank Endorsement. Previous Live Haul experience a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate hours of service, complete log book pages and calculate and report hours worked.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must have a Class-A CDL Drivers License.
- Must have no major driving violations and be able to pass a D.O.T. physical and drug test.
