ATS Services is looking for Observer-Communicators to join our Northwest Territory team. This is an exciting opportunity within an internationally recognized company!
Observer-Communicators provide the aviation sector with essential meteorological information by performing hourly weather observations and special observations to maintain current weather conditions. Aviation weather reports include cloud types, heights, and amounts, visibility, precipitation types and amounts, wind speed and direction, temperature and humidity information, atmospheric pressure information. Our reports are transmitted and made available to a wide range of users within diverse national agencies.
ToAssume This Position, You Must
- Be available for rotational shift work
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have reliable transportation to and from work location
Upon completion of a successful interview, you will undergo a mandatory training course taught in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories. The purpose of this program is to provide training relevant to the skills required to perform the duties of an Observer-Communicator. The program duration is 9 to 11 weeks. No cost associated with the Observer-Communicator training. ATS provides your travel, accommodations and a small per diem to cover the cost of food and incidentals.
No wages are provided while you are undergoing training.
