Job Overview
Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identify customer needs, provide advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Collaborate within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver a desirable customer experience and achieve overall business objectives. Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, customer application follow‑ups, filing, opening and closing activities.
Maintain compliance with risk and regulatory processes to safeguard customers’ assets.
- Welcomes and guides customers as they enter the branch lobby and offers advice on available digital and self‑serve options.
- Assists in conducting client conversations about banking services to recommend alternative banking channels and provide personal banking and investment advice.
- Reviews customer profiles and engages customers in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities for everyday banking, credit cards, and investment solutions.
- Collaborates with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that grow the customer’s relationship with BMO beyond personal banking.
- Balances operational activities with risk management, ensuring compliance with banking policies and regulations.
- Acts as a key member of a collaborative branch team and may work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs.
- Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience in consultative customer service or sales roles.
- Basic knowledge of specialized personal banking, credit card and investment products.
- Strong interpersonal, listening and problem‑solving skills; confident in using social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Ability to build rapport and connections with customers and collaborate in a team‑based environment.
- Organizational and analytical skills; readiness to approach customers with courage and confidence.
- Completion of registration to sell investment products within 12 months when required by jurisdiction.
Salary range: $37,400.00 – $62,300.00 (salaried). Compensation may include commission and performance‑based incentives. Benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
