* Responsibilities :
+ Serve as one of the primary on-site leaders for execution on assigned projects, including installation, service, and maintenance of building equipment, systems, and technologies, primarily working with electrical, building automation (BAS, and HVAC mechanical equipment.
+ Manages the selection, scope of work, procurement, quality, and payment of project materials, vendors, and subcontractors.
+ Negotiates, prepares, and issues subcontracts.
+ Develops project schedules and executes according to plan.
+ Ensures that assigned projects are done accurately, on time, billed within budget, and within scope of the contract.
+ Ensures work performed is in compliance with contracts and legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics .
+ Adheres to and ensures project personnel and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards, internal policies, and US Army Corps of Engineers requirements regarding health and safety.
+ Understand project and contract scopes; actively pursue growth opportunities that will help the customer achieve desired outcomes.
+ Help prepare and approve cost estimates, contract terms & conditions, and technical responses to client requests for information, bids, and proposals.
+ Ensure electricians, mechanics, technicians, and subcontractors complete assigned work per established standards, and thoroughly communicate the services performed and completion criteria to customers.
+ Along with the Senior Project Manager, analyze financial reporting and project schedules to proactively address potential problems .
+ Effectively communicate project progress, issues, and financial status to leadership as required.
+ Provide periodic project status updates and monthly revenue, cost, and gross margin forecasts.
+ Manage risk, establish project recovery plans, and resolve disputes to minimize escalation.
+ Ensure project document controls and deliverables comply with contract requirements and company standards.
+ Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned .
+ Coordinates customer-training requirements.
Basic Hiring Criteria :
+ Experience managing technical teams supporting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other technical building trades.
+ Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
+ Strong experience with project scheduling and coordination for labor and materials.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
+ Strong personal computer working capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic Windows environment.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check).
Desired Qualifications :
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience.
+ Management experience with projects related to commercial or industrial-sized HVAC mechanical equipment (chillers, boilers, Air Handlers, VAV's, etc.) and related controls, BAS management, and/or Utility Metering Systems.
+ Experience working with projects including large HVAC mechanical equipment (chillers, boilers, etc).
+ Estimating experience with MEP-related projects.
+ Experience working with quality control/quality assurance documentation.
+ Experience reading and interpreting government contracts and government procurement standards.
+ Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors.
+ Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Project preferred.
