Position: Lead Security Guard with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* Enter data into automated information systems required to prepare reports or shift activity.
* Train co-workers on proper use of automation equipment and software.
* Provide information to visitors regarding the location of facilities and hours of operation.
* Question suspicious persons in accordance with established policies and procedures.
* Control movement of personnel and vehicles accessing secure facilities.
* Respond to incidents involving security breaches or potential threats.
* Prepare written reports to document all incidents and investigations.
* Record visitor information prior to issuing access passes or badges for access. Requirements Help Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation in addition to the being able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
* This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
* This position is subject to a pre-employment drug test screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
* LAUTENBERG AMENDMENT:
Must meet the requirements under the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
* Incumbent must be able to obtain and sustain state certification for operating the NCIC terminals.
* IAW AR 190-56, Employee and prospective employee of this job are expected to maintain a high standard of conduct; and when being considered for employment and periodically thereafter, they must be assessed under the Individual Reliability Program.
* Incumbent must be proficient in the use of assigned firearms/weapons, pass an initial qualification, and must qualify semi-annually in the use of assigned firearms/weapons. All weapons training and qualifications will be conducted IAW AR 190-56.
* Incumbent must successfully complete security guard training.
* This position requires certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training.
* This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
* Incumbent will be required to maintain physical conditioning and pass an annual physical agility test (PAT) IAW AR190-56. Failure to meet the standards after the second attempt within a ninety-day period will result in separation.
* Incumbent must wear the Department of the Army Security Guard (DASG) uniform IAW AR 190-56, maintain a high state of appearance and hygiene.
* Employee must obtain and maintain applicable certifications in operating various electronic equipment and sensors.
* Must not have any medical condition that precludes the wearing of a chemical protective mask and over garments.
* Employee must be able to perform as a member of the installations overall security response capability. This requires the employee to carry and deploy a riot baton, carry a protective shield and employ non-lethal am munitions if necessary.
* The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
* This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
